I have a that’s messed up story line.My wife and I hired Keller Williams Realty in January in Murfreesboro to sell our home .
We only had our house on the market for two days and received over seven offers. One offer was from a realtor who worked for Keller Williams so we thought that would be a safe bid to accept. He signed the contract AS IS but asked if he could get a home inspection, termites inspection and to have his contractor inspection. We agreed and nothing was found during this period which occurred in February.
March arrived and we were set to closed on March 16. The day before the close our buyer Andy Todd asked to do his final walk thru. Our agent warned him that we were in the middle of moving and we have boxes all over so good luck. The day he and his partner arrived for their walk thru my house is monitored by ring so it recorded them discussing how they were going to get out of the contract and not close.
They even went as far to call the husband of our agent to get him to certify their complaints. They didn’t know we were watching them as they had interrupted our closing. Once they heard that their story changed and simply said they were not going to sign or close therefore withdrawing their bid. This cost us moving fee, our low interest rate, money to relock a rate and much more.
To top this off he is asking to get his earnest money back even though he broke the contract. We even missed the opportunity to move into our new house. We were fortunate that we had more offers However time was our enemy so we were given only a week to get another buyer or our new home would be sold to someone else.
We accept an all cash offer lower amount but enough to cover what we need to get into our new home .It was for less so we lost the opportunity to do further things.i would appreciate if you would investigate this and inform the areas of this predator that acts as a realtor and his company that try’s to cover it up.
